- In late October 2023 I was awarded the Pride of Reading- Cultural Contribution Award – described as – A “one-man ambassador for Reading”, Terry “has opened people’s eyes to the remarkable heritage that Reading has to offer”. He leads Reading Walkabouts, guided walks of the town, raising thousands for charities. Terry was one of the volunteer walks leaders for the inaugural Reading Walks Festival in May and is a volunteer Welcome Ambassador for visitors coming through Reading Station every Wednesday. “He is knowledgeable, kind, dedicated and a credit to Reading”.

- Finally it is not very often that as a 65 year old, I get moved almost to tears, but on 05/04/24 – Reading Ukrainian Community Centre presented me with their first ever ‘Angel of Hope’ award in recognition of the monies I have raised for them at the wonderful First Friday Club network event on that night. It is beautiful and I feel very lucky!
