Proceeds will be split equally between my causes for the year.\nProceeds from April 6th 2026 – April 5th 2027 – will go equally to 1st a main charity – Dingley’s Promise (DP) – They strive to provide the best start for every child.\nWe support children in the early years with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND) to achieve their full potential.\nThis Year I’m for the 1st year ever\, I will be  doing a few Special DP Walkabouts based on there history etc. They were formed in Reading at Battle Hospital\, became a charity and are starting to spread around the country\, starting in the South with 12 Centre & their HQ is in Newbury. I have known Charlotte for several years and we have made all sorts of donations to them\, from gardening equipment to a wishing well when we downsized. SUMMARY:Back by demand - Castle Hill\, Old & New Coley Heritage Walkabout
DESCRIPTION:NB Graham Turner who know the area very well will be joining us \n9 people booked in already – 09/05/26 \nWe will explore the history of Castle Hill\, Old and New Coley over 150 years. I Will show images of the area as it was. Do you know there a Whitbread pop-up Pub was & what about where the Coley steps? Illustrations will be used to explain the history and the changes to the area (from Mansions to courts)\, the lost industries\, people and some fascinating facts. \nThe tour will last approximately 2.15 hours\, with a few short inclines & descents. \nThe tour is close to Reading Town centre.
