SOLD OUT Tilehurst Remembrance Walkabout special chance to experience my village WW2 & Women roles

11 November @ 9:50 am - 11:40 am

Private Dixon of Tilehurst Home guard – will lead this extra special – nominal 75mins, easy 1 mile walk on the flat passing important Buildings, Places, History, Culture & the role of Women associated with Tilehurst in WW2, with old photos & much more – finishing at Tilehurst United Reformed Church.

12 people booked on so far & is expected to sell out at maximum of 20 places.

Please arrive at 10 mins early for signing in and safety brief etc.

Please bring a cash donation of £5 or £10 per adult and £1 per child over 5.

Mike Cooper will be delivering a wonderful talk about Tilehurst during WW2 in the same venue at 2pm & a special exhibition ‘Tilehurst Women involved in WW2’ will be on show at the Tilehurst United Reformed Church on Friday 10th & Sat 11th Nov.

NB if possible we will observe the 11am – 2mins Silence on 11th Nov. on the 11th Month!

Some free parking is available near the start or better still use ‘The Water Tower’ stop No 17 Bus that stops very nearby – NB The End of this Walk is 20 mins walk away from the start.
